Richarlison, 21, moved to Everton from Watford in a deal that could rise to £50m this summer, and has so far impressed on Merseyside, earning a call-up to the Brazilian national side, where he has scored three goals in six appearances.

Toffees boss Marco Silva recently stated he believes the playmaker could score 20 goals for Everton this season, and having notched eight goals in 14 league starts so far in 2018/19, there is no reason Richarlison could not achieve this feat.

Having shown promising signs of adaptation to his newly assigned role as a number nine in Silva’s starting XI, the likes of Barcelona are rumoured to be interested in the 21-year-old.

A move for Richarlison would represent a relative punt for the Catalan outfit, though the Brazilian’s ability to rise to the standards of both his new club and the national side suggest this is a player with raw ability and huge potential.

As Farhad Moshiri’s aspirations for the Toffees continue to rise, there is doubt over whether the owner would entertain a bid for his club’s prized asset, though Barcelona’s financial muscle is likely to make most if not all domestic outfits wilt in the face of a particularly hefty sum being tabled.

Everton sit 7th in the Premier League and face Manchester City this weekend, whilst Barcelona host Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League in a crucial clash for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in their hopes of qualifying for the round of 16.
