As the summer transfer window enters its final week, we look at the rumoured ins and outs from the Premier League as teams try to get the last few deals over the line. Here are the biggest rumours from the past seven days.
Philippe Coutinho – Liverpool to Barcelona
Barcelona are set to launch one final bid to land Coutinho, who has not featured yet this season through injury. The latest offer, rumoured to be around £138m, will test the resolve of the Liverpool hierarchy who may choose to cash in on the unsettled Brazilian.
Danny Drinkwater – Leicester City to Chelsea
Chelsea have already had a £15m bid rejected by Leicester, who are demanding £40m for the title-winner. The London club are expected to return with a £30m bid, which when Drinkwater’s desire to join is taken into account should be enough to convince Leicester to part with the 27-year-old midfielder.
Jamie Vardy – Leicester City to Chelsea
Chelsea are also keen on taking Vardy from the Foxes in a potential double raid.
Riyad Mahrez – Leicester City to Arsenal/AS Roma
Mahrez made it clear in May that he wanted to leave the club, however Leicester are being firm in their £50m asking price for the Algerian and have knocked back three bids from Roma, the most recent totalling £32m
Antonio Candreva – Inter Milan to Chelsea
The Italian midfielder has been told he can leave for £25m and with the Champions desire to add more midfield options could be a smart move for all parties.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Arsenal to Chelsea/Liverpool
The English midfielder is unlikely to sign a new contract and is entering the final twelve months of his existing deal. Wenger may decide to offload him this summer or gamble on the fact that he will sign a new contract during the season and risk losing him leaving on a free next summer.
Danny Rose – Tottenham to Chelsea/Manchester United
Spurs will hold talks with the left-back this week in an effort to keep him at the club with interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, however with the players explicit desire to play up north the Manchester club seems the most likely destination.
Jonny Evans – West Brom to Manchester City
Tony Pulis revealed in his press conference before the sides clash with Burnley that he has no desire or need to sell Evans, however a large bid could force his hand. Evans counts towards as home-grown talent which could further explain the interest. City are preparing a second bid believed to be in the region of £25m
Serge Aurier – Paris St Germain to Tottenham
Spurs have made an enquiry about the Ivory Coast right back, with a price of around £23m being quoted
Demarai Gray – Leicester City to Bournemouth
The Cherries have already had a £20m bid rejected for the 21-year-old during the window but are set to return with an improved offer of £25m
Benedikt Howedes – Schalke to Liverpool
Liverpool are looking to reinforce their back line and are set to turn their attention to the 29-year-old German International to join up with Joel Matip who played alongside him at the Bundesliga outfit for seven years. It has been suggested that Liverpool would part with £18m to secure his services.
Kevin Wimmer and Vincent Janssen – Tottenham to West Brom
Tony Pulis is hoping to seal a £30m deal for the pair who both have offers on the table from rival clubs, however the best personal terms have been offered by the Baggies. Crystal Palace have also bid for Wimmer, allegedly offering £15m for his signature.
William Carvalho – Sporting CP to West Ham
The Portuguese midfielder looked set to join the hammers in a £34m deal, however, West Ham have reportedly grown impatient with the talks with Sporting and may turn their attention elsewhere, with Sunderland’s Didier Ndong being touted as a potential alternative.
Ross Barkley – Everton to Tottenham
Despite his current injury Spurs remain keen on Barkley, and are said to be willing to pay £20 plus add ons for the 23-year-old
Mamadou Sakho – Liverpool to Crystal Palace
Frank De Boer would like Sakho to return to the club he spent last year on loan at, however the £30m asking price makes the move highly unlikely.
Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal to Manchester City
City are still very interested in signing Sanchez, it has been reported that a bit worth around £70m could tempt Wenger to part with the Chilean talisman.
Diego Costa – Atletico Madrid/Monaco/Marseille
Costa is desperate to leave Stamford Bridge, so much so that he has already brought in removal vans to clear his home to speed up the process when the time comes.
