FPL: GW16 Captaincy Conundrum

  2. FPL

With another midweek round of fixtures on the horizon and plenty of games throughout December, there is even more pressure to get transfers right.

There may be plenty of rotation, but planning for the month, rather than just the next round of games could be what sees you through successfully.

Here are four captain picks for this weekend’s Premier League action.

Christian Eriksen:

The Danish midfielder returned to form last week by providing an assist, after blanking for 6 gameweeks in a row.

Although, we feel now is a time to invest in the Spurs’ playmaker with Stoke and Brighton at home.

Eden Hazard:

The Belgian midfielder bagged a goal in Chelsea’s midweek draw vs Atletico Madrid, and has been firing in the past few gameweeks as well.

With West Ham, Huddersfield and Southampton the next 3, he surely looks likely to invest in.

Philippe Coutinho:

3 assists and 1 goal vs Brighton last week, and 3 goals and 1 assist vs Spartak Moscow in midweek, Coutinho is the actual personification of ‘RED HOT FORM’.

With the value of 8.9M he maybe the most effective price to points investment in Liverpool’s midfield.

Next 3 : Everton, West Brom and Bournemouth.

Alexandre Lacazette:

The French forward after being in contention to face Manchester United last week, did start and also did scored.

With 2 goals in past 2 gameweeks, and an impressive fixture run, Lacazette is also one of the key players to invest in.

Next 3 : Southampton, West Ham and Newcastle

All worthy captaincy options, varying in strength and value, though who will you be giving the armband to for your GW16 team?
