FPL: GW25 Captaincy Conundrum

Who should be getting the armband for your FPL team in GW25?

1. Harry Kane – 8pts

2. Sergio Aguero – 17pts

3. Marcos Alonso – 6pts

Time to focus on GW25 now…

1. Mo Salah

Salah is most probably the safest captaincy option this GW. Owned by a hefty 55.2% of managers and bought in by 61k managers ahead of GW25, I have no doubt this man will continue to add to his enormous points total of 181 against an out-of-form Huddersfield team. Despite Liverpool’s loss on the weekend against West Brom, Salah managed to get onto the score-sheet once again, adding to his total of 25 goals for the club, after only being there for 6 months.

2. Sergio Aguero

After a rest on the weekend and his proven importance in Pep’s team, it is fair to assume rotation will no longer be a risk factor, until Jesus returns. Last GW Aguero netted a hat-rick in fine style after Man City once again gave Newcastle a thrashing. With his great form and fairly easy upcoming fixtures, Aguero is definitely one to consider when you’re looking for a safe and explosive captaincy option who could once again shoot you up the rankings. City face West Brom next GW and is probably my top captaincy pick.

3. Roberto Firmino

He’s been an absolute joy to watch recently, constantly scoring for Liverpool and racking up the points I need. Firmino scored over the weekend with a great finish in the FA Cup clash and added yet another goal to his tally. With favourable upcoming fixtures and with him being in good form, it might be time to bring him in, if you haven’t yet. Liverpool face Huddersfield next GW and although Bobby might be a bit of a risky captain pick, I can see Liverpool scoring goals for fun against them and Firmino netting one or two. He will most likely be my captain for GW25.
