Jurgen Klopp provides fitness update on Roberto Firmino ahead of Saturday’s Champions League Final

Roberto Firmino has been passed fit by Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp to feature in Saturday’s Champions League Final in Madrid.

The German has not stated whether the Brazilian will feature from the off on Saturday yet his fitness is a huge relief ahead of their clash with Tottenham.

Liverpool’s number nine has been suffering from a groin problem the past month and many have questioned whether he would feature at all yet the Liverpool manager stated he ‘should be fine’.

The Reds manager also stated that if his opposite manager, Mauricio Pochettino, reveals his starting XI before the fixture that he will do the exact same so we could find out whether Firmino will feature from the start very soon.

Naby Keita was declared unfit for Saturday’s crunch tie and his absence means that it will likely be a midfield three of Wijnaldium, Henderson and Fabhino to line up against the Lilywhites.

As for the front three, Firmino’s fitness means he could very well start alongside Mane and Salah yet if Klopp’s decides to rest him for the first half action, it will likely be Divok Origi given the call up to lead the line.
