Bournemouth vs Huddersfield

Date: 18/11/17

K.O: 15:00pm

Venue: Dean Court

Bournemouth welcome Huddersfield to Dean Court this weekend in a game that, five years ago, had become a standard League one fixture.

Huddersfield were promoted to the Championship back in 2012 with Bournemouth following suit a year later. The Terriers however have been the latecomers to the Premier League party in what could be described as a new era for both teams.

So far it has been a season of contrasting home and away results for Huddersfield Town, the latter usually being the more unforgiving fixtures to the newly-promoted side. However, Bournemouth have struggled to find home form in the Premier League this season, collecting only four points at Dean Court.

The unsteady beginning to the season for the Cherries have left them hovering one point above the bottom three, but with points being so closely shared at this stage, particularly in the bottom half, a victory on Saturday could sail Bournemouth up into mid-table.

The match should be a heavily contested fixture, but Huddersfield’s away form this season makes Bournemouth the favourites to come out with the three points.

Team News

A back injury picked up during international duty means that Josh King is a doubt for Bournemouth. The problem caused the 25-year-old to sit out of Norway’s encounter with Northern Ireland.

The good news though is that Benik Afobe should be back after being out for a few weeks.

In the Terriers’ camp, Christopher Schindler will be ineligible after he committed a second bookable offense two weeks ago against West Brom.

Expected Starting XI’s:

Bournemouth: Begovic, Daniels, Ake, S Cook, Francis, Pugh, Surman, Arter, Ibe, Afobe, Defoe

Huddersfield: Lossl, Lowe, Cranie, Jorgensen, Smith, Williams, Hogg, Ince, Mooy, van La Parra, Depoitre

Prediction: Bournemouth 1 Huddersfield 0
