PREVIEW: AFC Bournemouth vs Burnley – 29/11/17

AFC Bournemouth vs Burnley

Date: Wednesday 29th November

K.O: 19.45pm

Venue: Dean Court

Bournemouth host Burnley on Wednesday night, with Sean Dyche’s side aiming to reach as high as fifth in the Premier League standings with a win.

Bournemouth’s captain Simon Francis is set to return for the Cherries after serving a one match ban, whilst Junior Stanislas and Jermaine Defoe remain sidelined through injury.

Burnley will run a late fitness test on right-back Matt Lowton, who suffered an injury scare against Arsenal at the weekend. Chris Wood could return to the starting XI for Dyche’s men, after starting on the bench against Arsenal.

Burnley’s only defeat in their last eight competitive fixtures against Bournemouth came at the Vitality Stadium in May last season when Joshua King scored a late winner (W4, D3, L1).

The Cherries could keep four successive league clean sheets for the first time since March 2014 in the Championship if they keep out Burnley in Wednesday’s game, whilst a win could potentially lift them as high as 11th in the PL standings.

Expected starting XI’s:

Bournemouth: Begovic; Francis, Cook, Ake, Daniels; Ibe, Arter, Surman, Pugh; King, Afobe.

Burnley: Pope; Lowton, Mee, Tarkwoski, Mee; Gudmundsson, Defour, Cork, Brady; Hendrick, Wood.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1 Burnley 1
