Arsenal vs Burnley

Venue: The Emirates

Arsenal play host to Burnley in what is Arsene Wenger’s final home game as Arsenal manager.
Arsenal will be looking to give Wenger the send-off he deserves in these final few matches. Defeats to Manchester United and a disappointing exit from the Europe League at the hands of Atletico Madrid have put a slight dampener on what should be a celebratory time. A win here will do some help in repairing the fractious relationship between manager and fans as his legendary tenure comes to an end.
Burnley will be buoyed by their confirmation that European football will return to Turf Moor after Everton could only draw with Southampton on Saturday afternoon. They will now be looking to get as high up the table as possible. They are only 3 points behind the Gunners and will be confident they can get a result here after their impressive away form this season.
Mohammed Elneny and Santi Cazorla remain injured for Arsenal. They were joined this week by Laurent Koscielny who is out for the rest of the season and the World Cup after being stretchered off against Atletico.
Burnley are waiting on striker Chris Wood who suffered a cut foot against Brighton and Hove Albion and Ben Mee who is still recovering from a shin injury.
This will be a match remembered more for the occasion than the actual football (probably). We can hope that it will be a fitting send-off for a true gentleman of football. Many football fans have never known Arsenal without Arsene Wenger. It is hard to comprehend what path Arsenal will go down next. Whatever happens in the future this game is about celebrating the past and thanking the man who gave so much to Arsenal football club.
Prediction: Arsenal 3 Burnley 1
