Crystal Palace vs West Ham

Date: 28/10/17

K.O: 15:00pm

Crystal Palace welcome West Ham to Selhurst Park on Saturday, as both teams will be looking for a valuable three points to escape their recent woeful form in the Premier League.

Palace will be hoping for a similar performance to the one they put in against Chelsea which got them their first win of the Premier League season, rather then their abysmal performance against Bristol City in the Carabao Cup which saw them lose 4-1 to the lower league side.

West Ham however are the polar opposite after a horrible evening in the league against Brighton – a painful performance from the hammers saw them beaten 3-0 at home. But then playing high flying Tottenham they staged a fantastic comeback from 2-0 down to 3-2 at Wembley.

Team News:

Crystal Palace will be without strikers Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham who are out carrying long-term injuries. However James McArthur will be facing a late fitness test to see if he is available for the game.

West Ham will be able to call Andy Carroll back to their Premier League squad after he served his suspension against Brighton. However, Michail Antonio faces a late fitness test due to a bruised rib. James Collins is still out with a ankle injury.

Predicted Line-ups

Cyrstal Palace: Speroni, Van Aanholt, Sakho, Dann, Ward, Schlupp, Milivojevic, Cabaye, McArthur, Zaha, Townsend.

Formation: 5-2-1-2

West Ham: Hart, Zabaleta, Reid, Fonte, Cresswell, Noble, Obiang, Arnautovic, Lanzini, Ayew, Hernandez.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0 West Ham 1

This should be a close encounter as both teams will be scared to lose points and face further fall out from the fans. However West Ham should be buoyed by their win against rivals Spurs and against a poor Palace team who they have a recent good record against should prevail. But West Ham have not lived up to expectation this year so it could go either way depending what team shows up.
