Huddersfield Town vs Manchester United

Date: 21/10/17

K.O: 15.00pm

Huddersfield Town host Manchester United on Saturday, with the Terriers looking to end a six-game winless run in the Premier League.

Manchester United under Jose Mourinho are unbeaten in their 2017/18 Premier League campaign, amassing six wins, two draws and conceding just two goals in the process. United striker Romelu Lukaku has been in scintillating form, failing to score in just two of United’s eight Premier League games.

Huddersfield, under David Wagner, had begun Premier League life with two consecutive victories against Crystal Palace and Newcastle United, though have tailed off in recent weeks failing to win their last six Premier League games.

Team News:

Michael Carrick and Eric Bailly are both expected to miss the trip to Huddersfield with knocks, whilst Paul Pogba, Marcos Rojo, Marouane Fellaini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain long-term absentees.

Mourinho’s decision to play Rashford in the Champions League would suggest Anthony Martial will be his favoured starting option on Saturday, whilst Ashley Young is expected to retain his spot in the starting XI in defence.

David Wagner is expected to name Steve Mounie, scorer of a debut brace on the opening weekend vs Crystal Palace, in his squad for the first time in over a month, though Kasey Palmer, Michael Hefele, Jon Stankovic, and Collin Quaner are all still out with injuries.
