Manchester City welcome Huddersfield Town to the Etihad for what could be a record breaking occasion.
A City win with at least two goals scored will take them past 95 points and 103 goals, the current records set by Chelsea in 2004-5 and 2009-10 respectively.
The Citizens could be unchanged from last weekend’s dismantling of West Ham, but may rotate their squad to keep things fresh.
Huddersfield are fighting a very different battle in very real danger of relegation. Though they will not expect to take any points from this clash, a hammering may have a fatal effect on the Terriers’ goal difference.
Ederson will continue in goal, but changes are expected ahead of him. Vincent Kompany could return in central defence, while Danilo, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy are pressuring Fabian Delph for the left-back position.
David Silva will return in midfield after being granted time off a week ago, likely in place of Ilkay Gundogan.
In attack, Gabriel Jesus will line up in the middle, with rumours suggesting Raheem Sterling may be rotated out of the lineup for Bernardo Silva. Leroy Sane will carry on on the left.
Sergio Aguero remains out with injury, but John Stones is nearing a return to fitness after a series of setbacks.
Huddersfield will set up in their usual conservative manner, with Jonas Lossl guarding the net. Tommy Smith and Scott Malone may come in to add defensive nous to the back line as they attempt to repel City’s all conquering attack.
Philip Billing may to move into midfield to add steel, and would likely replace Alex Pritchard. In attack, Laurent Depoitre could come in if David Wagner opts for a more direct approach.
Prediction: Manchester City 4 Huddersfield Town 0
