West Bromwich Albion vs Watford

Date: 30/09/17

K.O: 15.00pm

Tony Pulis will feel eager to sink his teeth into a defensive battle with another mid table side as West Bromwich Albion host Watford on Saturday.

Unfortunately for him this side is Watford who – under Marco Silva – have managed to score more than twice as much as West Brom have in the opening six games of the 2017/18 Premier League season.

West Brom in fact have not been able to score more than one goal in any given Premier League fixture to date, which is not surprising since the team are not known for their attacking flair.

Watford should be able to control this game and due to their previous three away league games the momentum could well and truly be with the Hornets – Marco Silva will be as eager as Tony Pulis to battle this one out at The Hawthorns.

Watford have struggled with discipline in moments this season – their passion and confidence that has earned them their victories has also turned to impatience and frustration in many cases.

Tony Pulis should look to starve the Watford team and deflate the confidence that has enabled them too score two goals every game on the road this season. This should be a taught and tight affair, and both teams best chances will most likely come from set pieces and feeding on the mistakes of the opponent.
