West Bromwich Albion vs West Ham United
Date: 16/09/2017
K/O: 15:00pm
West Ham return to the road after finally getting some points on the board after their Monday night win against Huddersfield Town. They will take on a West Brom who haven’t had their way in their last two games having drawn to Stoke and then being thoroughly defeated by Premier League newcomers Brighton.
Slaven Bilic will be looking to build on Monday nights win in an attempt to push the Hammers away from the bottom three. Also, he will be wanting to solidify his position as manager after early questions of his job.
Whereas Tony Pulis will want a quick response from his team, which took until they were 3-0 down on the weekend before starting to play their game.
Team News:
Slaven Bilic has no new names to add to his injury list. However, he will be happy to have Manuel Lanzini and Mark Noble back to the squad, even if they are only fit enough to make the bench. Bilic will also have Marko Arnautovic back aft he has completed his suspension.
Tony Pulis looks set to name Oliver Burke and Nacer Chadli on the bench again. Although he will be without James McClean and Gareth McAuley look set to miss out with knocks. Although Pulis will be welcoming back Hal Robson-Kanu after he has completed his suspension.
Predicted line-ups:
West Brom: Foster, Dawson, Evans, Hegazi, Nyom, Barry, Phillips, Livermore, Krychowiak, Rodriguez, Rondon.
West Ham: Hart, Zabaleta, Reid, Fonte, Collins, Cresswell, Kouyate, Obiang, Antonio, Hernandez, Carroll.
Score Prediction: West Bromwich Albion 1 West Ham 0
This will not be a game for the football purists out there. This will be a game decided by muscle and if Andy Carroll doesn’t get going in this game he will be outplayed by West Brom’s strong defence. This could also see Hammers star Javier Hernandez muscled out of the game. Whereas I can see West Brom forcing their way past West Ham’s shaky defence through a barrage of set pieces.
