West Ham United vs Bournemouth

Date: 20/01/18

K.O: 15:00pm

Venue: London Stadium

TV: N/A

West Ham face Bournemouth at the London Stadium on Saturday and will be looking to continue their good run of form under David Moyes. West Ham are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, including a 3-3 draw with Bournemouth in the reverse fixture.

Bournemouth have also been hard to beat of late as they haven’t been beaten in the league in their last 4 outings. However, this wasnt the same for a second eleven fielded against Wigan where they were thumped by the league one side 3-0 this in the FA Cup this week.

Team News

David Moyes will have a bit of a dilemma when it comes to picking a team for this weekend after their midweek game against Shrewsbury went to extra time, which could force some players to miss the game. Moyes will once again be without striker Andy Carroll as he is out with an ankle injury.

He will also be without Winston Reid who missed last weeks match due to injury. However Michail Antonio and Javier Hernandez could return to the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury and the flu respectively.

Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe could have Joshua King and Junior Stanislas back in his squad as they edge closer to full fitness. However Howe will remain without Jermaine Defoe and Tyrone Mings who are both still side lined with long-term injuries.

Predicted Line-ups

West Ham: Adrian, Masuaku, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Collins, Zabaleta, Obiang, Noble, Kouyate, Lanzini and Arnautovic.

Formation: 5-3-1-1

Bournemouth: Begovic, Daniels, Ake, Cook, Francis, Smith, Cook, Gosling, Ibe, Fraser and Wilson

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Prediction

West Ham will certainly be looking for some vengeance after the reverse fixture when referee Bobby Madley incorrectly allowed an offside and handballed goal for Bournemouth to stand despite the linesman’s flag being raised against striker Callum Wilson. The Hammers are having their best spell of the season so far and will be a tricky task for the south-coast side, especially with the form of Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic. However, if Bournemouth are able to isolate them they can stand a chance of picking up a result.

Score Prediction:

2-2
