Saint Kitts and Nevis: Premier League Nations

Next up in our alphabetical world tour is Saint Kitts and Nevis. The Premier League website lists three Kittitian/Nevisian players to have played in the Premier League, but they do not count Bobby Bowry, who won two caps for Saint Kitts and Nevis but is listed as English.

First Player – Bobby Bowry (Crystal Palace; 1992-93, 1994-95) or Sagi Burton (Crystal Palace; 1997-98)

Bobby Bowry is listed as English on the Premier League website, but if you consider him a representative of Saint Kitts and Nevis then he was their first Premier League player.

If not, like in the case of the Premier League website, Sagi Burton was the first player to represent Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Premier League, appearing twice for Crystal Palace in 1997/98.

Both players were born in England but played a handful of games for Saint Kitts and Nevis in their later years.

Other Players

Of the three players to have represented Saint Kitts and Nevis on the Premier League website, none of them made more than four appearances. Sagi Burton made two appearances for Crystal Palace later in the 1990s, while Adam Newton made two appearances of his own for West Ham in 1999/2000.

The final Kittitian/Nevisian to feature in the Premier League was Callum Willock, who made four appearances for Fulham in the early 2000s.

Elsewhere, several lower league players have recently represented and played for Saint Kitts and Nevis, including current West Bromwich Albion midfielder Romaine Sawyers.
