The writers for 90MAAT have put their footballing brains to the test, with each writer attempting to correctly predict the final Premier League table for the 2018/19 season. Below is the average outcome across all the predictions made.
1. Manchester City
2. Liverpool
3. Arsenal
4. Chelsea
5. Manchester United
6. Tottenham Hotspur
7. Everton
8. West Ham
9. Leicester City
10. Wolverhampton Wanderers
11. Burnley
12. Crystal Palace
13. Fulham
14. Southampton
15. Newcastle United
16. Watford
17. Brighton & Hove Albion
18. Bournemouth
19. Huddersfield Town
20. Cardiff City
A fairly reasonable guess I’m sure you’ll agree. There were a couple of certainties across all the predictions. Whilst the order varied, the top 6 remained constant with Man City topping the table for almost all the writers. Cardiff also propped up the table for the majority of predictions (barring two).
There were some discrepancies with who would be joining Cardiff in the Championship next year. Whilst it averaged out to be Bournemouth and Huddersfield, Brighton were not backed by many to avoid the dreaded drop. Barring Cardiff, the new teams were predicted to do very well indeed, with Wolves even finishing in the top half.
Throughout the season we will be referring back to this prediction, comparing it to the current table and how things seem to be panning out.
