VIDEO: Jordan Pickford bar fight in full

Everton have confirmed goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is under investigation after an alleged fracas in his hometown of Sunderland.

Pickford, 25, was involved in an altercation outside a Sunderland bar with the consequent video footage appearing on social media shortly after.

The Telegraph report that Pickford has told the club he and his fiancée were victims of a verbal attack after returning to the North East following Everton’s 2-0 victory over West Ham on Saturday.

It is further reported by The Telegraph that after attending a couple of bars and having been recognised, light-hearted banter was exchanged including Pickford being told he had ‘small arms’ and had ‘butterfingers’.

However the tone of Pickford’s night out soon changed leading to abuse being hurled at the former Sunderland academy and he had to be kept apart by friends.

The video shows a clearly agitated Pickford overcome with a fit of rage, as the Toffees shot-stopper has abuse hurled at him from Sunderland locals.

Whilst Everton’s investigation is ongoing, Pickford remains available for selection for the Merseyside outfit ahead of their Premier League clash against Arsenal at Goodison Park on Saturday.
