Wolverhampton Wanderers complete signing of Belgian prospect

Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed a move for Anderlecht central defender Leander Dendoncker, the 23-year-old has joined initially on loan but with a view towards making the move permanent next summer, as reported in Sky Sports.

The Belgian international, is also able to play in defensive midfield due to his excellent passing ability, and also represented the Red Devils as they finished third at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. His only game of the tournament came when Belgium beat England 1-0 in the final group game of group H, although both sides rested players as they had progressed from the group stage already.


In five seasons professional seasons with Anderlecht Dendonker has made 125 appearances, scoring nine goals. As well as this he featured in all six of their Champions League games last season, including the victory over Celtic.
