Wolves set to make £10m move for Liverpool youngster

The Mail has suggested that Wolves are ready to step up their initial interest in Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho this summer.

It was reported last month that the Midlands-based club were keen on securing the services of the Portuguese youngster with a £10m bid yet Liverpool are understood to be preparing to let the 19-year-old run down the final year of his contract if they don’t get the price they are sought after.

The youngster found himself on the bench in Madrid last weekend as Liverpool picked up their sixth European trophy after their 2-0 win against Tottenham yet he has struggled to make an impression on Klopp and the first team this campaign.

He managed two appearances for the senior side this season, one of those which came at Molineux back in January in Liverpool’s FA Cup defeat at the hands of Wolves. The other came a few weeks later as he was a 90th-minute substitute in Liverpool’s 4-3 win against Crystal Palace.

The winger was an integral part of the Liverpool u23 set up last campaign though as he managed eight goals in 14 appearances leading the Reds to a fourth-placed finish in Premier League 2.

The Portugal u19 international is understood to be keen on a move away from Anfield and could link up with a host of Portuguese international’s at Molineux which will be a considerable bonus in the move.

As we have seen in the past, Liverpool will not budge from their evaluation and if the winger is set for a move down south, Wolves will have to cough up at least £10m for the transfer to go through.
