Tottenham are on their travels for the third game in a row on Saturday, making the long journey north to the Kirklees stadium to take on newly-promoted Huddersfield Town.

This should be the Terriers’ biggest test yet in their first season in the Premier League, and Spurs themselves will be grateful for their small break from playing at Wembley Stadium, from where only two points have been taken out of a possible nine in the league.

However, Huddersfield are unbeaten at home in any competition this season, and have so far proved their defensive worth, only letting in four goals since the beginning of August.

But Tottenham are a very defensively sound team themselves and the Terriers are not on great scoring form, not managing to score more than one goal in a Premier League match since the opening day against Crystal Palace.

Harry Kane’s usual goalscoring form looks to be underway once again, scoring five goals in the last two games, including his ninth Spurs hat-trick against Apoel in Tuesday’s Champions League fixture. If Huddersfield can stop the ball ending up in their own net throughout the ninety minutes, it could be considered a job well done.

Team News:

Saturday could see the return of Huddersfield’s striker, Steve Mounié, after his heel injury, but any appearance from him is likely to come from a substitution, meaning Saturday could see an unchanged Huddersfield starting eleven.

Tottenham’s new right-back Serge Aurier will be serving a one-match suspension after his sending off against West Ham last Saturday.

Moussa Sissoko has begun to show his worth in recent games, so he may start in midfield. However, 21-year-old Harry Winks could be given a starting place while Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembélé continue to recover from injuries, the latter of whom could make a return to the bench.

Predicted line-ups:

Huddersfield: Lossl, Lowe, Schindler, Zanka, Smith, Hogg, Mooy, Ince, Sabiri, Kahunga, Depoitre.

Tottenham: Lloris, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Trippier, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

Score Prediction: 0-2

Huddersfield will find it difficult to put a goal past the away side, and Spurs’ impressive away form could mean that their defence buckles on this occasion.
