New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has made former England international goalkeeper Robert Green his second signing of the summer transfer window on a free transfer.
38-year-old Green has been given a one year contract after he was released from Huddersfield Town without making an appearance last season.
In a statement Green released on Chelsea’s official website he said: “It’s a thrill and an honour to be here”.
The experienced Englishman has made 267 Premier League appearances for Norwich City, West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers, keeping 53 clean sheets. Chelsea have said that he will provide back-up for Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero.
