FPL: Four differentials to help you get ahead of the rest

When it comes to the FPL there will be players that most people will have in their teams, players like Salah who is owned by 55.7% De Gea 42.5% and Kane 39.2%. Its not hard to see why managers have flocked to these players as they are the top scorers in their respective positions.

But with their ownership so high, who are the players you need to consider along side them to rise in your mini-leagues and claim the all important bragging rights among friends. The following four players are owned by less than 10% of FPL managers mean they’re huge differentials for the upcoming busy fixture list. Will you consider any of these players in your team?

Lukasz Fabianski – Swansea

Value: £4.6m – Owned by 8.5% – Total points: 69

Fixtures: MCI (h) EVE (a) CRY (h)

Fabianski is now the second top scoring keeper in the FPL, with only the much more expensive David De Gea (5.8m) on more points. Swansea have kept 6 clean sheets this year an impressive return for a side in the bottom three. The Swans have some tough fixtures ahead with Man City looking to extend their 15 match winning streak at the Liberty on Wednesday night, but even a defeat to Chelsea in gameweek 14 saw the Swansea shot stopper pick up 5 points thanks to making 9 saves.

Jonjoe Kenny – Everton

Value: £4.3m – Owned by 1.2% – Total points: 22

Fixtures: NEW (a) SWA (h) CHE (h)

If I had suggested an Everton defender for your FPL team a couple of weeks ago you may have laughed, but under Big Sam Everton are no longer a laughing matter. The Toffies have kept two cleansheets in the last three games, having kept just one in their opening 13! Kenny has established himself at right back in the absence of Coleman and could be worth a shout, costing just £4.3m, even if just on the bench to cover rotation risks over a busy Christmas fixture list. Other Everton options are available too, with two decent upcoming fixtures.

Riyad Mahrez – Leicester

Value: £8.5m – Owned by 5.6% – Total points: 84

Fixtures: SOU (a) CRY (h)  MUN (a)

We all know what Riyad Mahrez is capable of, he left his mark on the Premier League with Leicester’s amazing title win and became an FPL legend in the process. The Algerian midfielder looks to be getting back to the form that saw him win the PFA player of the year title in 2016, he has scored 4 goals and made 4 assists in his last 8 games. I saw him live on Saturday when he scored against Newcastle at St James, he was very impressive.

Heung-Min Son – Spurs

Value: £7.9m – Owned by 2.6% – Total points: 60

Fixtures: BHA (h) MCI (a) BUR (a)

Spurs ran riot against Stoke at Wembley on Saturday, with Son the star man. He racked up 16 FPL points, scoring once, assisting twice and claiming all three bonus points which added to his goal in the previous gameweek at Watford. Son has added a much needed burst of pace to Spurs, and if he continues in this form he could be one to make your arrows green!

I must add a warning that all these players come with risks, but could be worth a shout in your team! There are six gameweeks coming in the next three weeks, its a big chance to make up some ground! Best of luck with your team over the Christmas period!
