FPL: Jamie Adams secures 1st place in GW1 standings of 90MAAT’s FPL.

Manager Jamie Adams emerged victorious in the GW1 standings of 90MAAT’s FPL: 104 points proving enough to secure Adams a deserved first place ranking.

A combination of proven worth and punts was a successfully blended balance for Adams and his side ‘Incognito’, which included the likes of Roberto Firmino (12pts), Mo Salah (11pts) Ryan Bertrand (8pts) and Fraser Forster (7pts).

Defensive solidity and attacking promise was a deadly combination for Adams, and despite Andros Townsend failing to put in a shift, this triple figure score was enough to rise to 1st place in the 90MAAT FPL standings.

Though the success of the Incognito; rumoured to be abbreviated to ‘Incog’, starting XI lay with a more simplistic, bold but mesmeric choice – that choice was to triple captain Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku’s 2 goals, 90 minutes played and 3 bonus saw him amass 13 points, Adams’ decision to play his triple captain chip meaning Lukaku accumulated 39 points, leaving him as the 406th ranked player in England for FPL.

Rumours have surfaced that Adams is currently having to employ extra security to minimise disturbance at his home, after reportedly hundreds of FPL die-hards have lined the streets in hope of merely an autograph, or even a glimpse of this prestigious FPL talent.

The decision to play his triple captain chip was brave, though Adams has certainly had the last laugh and will be looking to capitalise on his short-lived fame: a book-deal in conjunction with the Wigan Evening Post rumoured to be in the pipe-line.

Jamie Adams and the Incognito XI have prevailed this week in 90MAAT’s official FPL league, though who will be joining Adams as the top-scorer for GW2 next week?
