Harry Kane signs new six year contract at Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has signed a new six year contract with the London club, taking his current deal through to 2024.

The England captain scored 29 Premier League goals in 2017/18, and is considered to be integral in Spurs’ hopes of progressing to a new level in their new stadium.

Kane had been reportedly attracting interest from Real Madrid, though his new deal will rebuff any prospect of a move away from Spurs – this is a huge statement from Levy and Pochettino.

Kane has been in sensational form for the last three Premier League seasons, though it was reported that the Englishman staying with Spurs could depend on Levy’s willingness to break his notoriously shrewd wage structure.

This is a contract that means a whole lot more than six seasons of Harry Kane for Spurs – it is potentially indicative of Levy’s realisation that if ever there was a better time to attempt a leap of faith to the unknown, it is now, and he’s got a world-class manager in the form of Mauricio Pochettino to assist in this charge to the top.

This is a breaking news story. 90MAAT will bring you more on Kane’s new contract the moment we have it.
