Manchester City vs Southampton
Date: Wednesday 29th November
K.O: 20.00pm
Venue: The Etihad
Manchester City host Southampton in this Premier League Wednesday night match at the Etihad.
Manchester City have proven to be on of the best sides the Premier League has seen so far breaking the record for the most points to an opening campaign (37 in 13 games).
Scoring 42 goals in those games is a notable achievement and with Southampton struggling, many could be added to the tally.
However, what seemed to be a dingy start to Southampton’s season was somewhat brightened with their 4-1 win over Everton on Sunday. Pellegrino’s men will look to build upon that performance.
Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany and John Stones will be out for the clash against the saints and Mangala is expected to start. Southampton fans will accept with open arms the return of their star player Mario Lemina, while Oriol Romeu also returns from a suspension.
Expected lineups:
Manchester City (4-3-3) Ederson, Walker, Mangala, Otamendi, Delph, Silva, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Sterling, Aguero, Sane.
Southampton (4-5-1) Forster, Cedric, Van Dijk, Hoedt, Bertrand, Romeu, Lemina, Tadic, Boufal, Austin, Redmond
