West Ham United vs Crystal Palace

Date: 30/01/2018

K/O: 19:45pm

Venue: London Stadium

The London Stadium hosts a London derby this Tuesday night between West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

It should be an exciting game as both teams have one eye on a place in thee top ten and another on the relegation zone, proving just how tight this Premier League season is.

David Moyes will want to see a massive improvement from his team who were just dumped out of the FA Cup by League One side Wigan in a disappointing 2-0 defeat, but their league form is much better as they haven’t been beaten since before Christmas.

Roy Hodgson will hope to get his Crystal Palace revolution back on track after they were thrashed 4-1 by Arsenal last time out, although he would have welcomed the extra rest in order to prepare his team for West Ham.

Team News:

David Moyes might struggle to put out a full side as the Hammers has been struck by a plague of injuries. Moyes could be without eight first team members for the match against the Eagles, with most recent injuries taking out star players Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic who will both be out until late February. Moyes will also be without Pedro Obiang who suffered a twisted knee against Wigan. Arthur Masuaku will also miss out as he was sent off against Wigan for spitting, he will also be expected to serve a 6 game ban for his misconduct.

Hodgson will also be without some key players as defensive duo Mamadou Sakho and Scott Dann are both out with long-term injuries. Hodgson will also be without Reuben Loftus-Cheek and Jason Puncheon who has both been key at times this season. Although he will have new centre back signing Jaroslaw Jach to call into the squad.

Prediction:

Both teams are in desperate need of a win in order to get back on form and push themselves away from the bottom end of the table. West Ham will be hoping new signing Joao Mario can add a spark to their attack in absence of Lanzini and Arnautovic, but Palace will be a tough nut to crack, as they would have been thoroughly defensive drilled in the last week. Palace will also be able to cause problems for the hammers with their pacey attack of Zaha and Townsend.

Score Prediction: West Ham 2 Crystal Palace 2
