Tottenham have been told it will take £20m to sign Hull City’s star Jarrod Bowen this month, according to reports in Team Talk.
Bowen, 22, has been instrumental in the recent upturn of form for Nigel Adkin’s side, with the Humberside outfit sitting top of the form charts having launched a serious bid for promotion to the Premier League.
This has attracted the interest of Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino, who, after having been priced out of a deal for Aston Villa forward Jack Grealish, are keen to cherrypick the rising stars from the Championship in an attempt to reduce overheads as they move to their new stadium.
After thrashing Bolton 6-0 this week, Adkins held a firm stance over reported interest in Bowen, stating that it was “great the club are not looking to sell” and added “We don’t want to lose him or any player. We are going well, climbing the table and have momentum”.
Bowen has been in sensational form for Hull in the current campaign, scoring 11 league goals and registering three assists, and the club are reported to be keen on a £25m deal, similar to the fee Leicester paid Norwich for James Maddison, if they were to part with their prized asset.
Hull next host Sheffield Wednesday on January 12th, whilst Spurs host Manchester United in the Premier League.
