Leicester City midfielder has made a plea to the Leicester City ownership following Saturday’s clinical demolition of Huddersfield Town at the John Smiths’ Stadium.
Maddison, 22, put in an impressive performance for the Foxes, notably scoring a stunning free-kick to put Leicester 3-1 up against the Terriers.
But the Englishman has called on Leicester’s owners to sign up Belgian prodigy Youri Tielemans permanently following a stunning start to life in the East Midlands for the Monaco playmaker.
Tielemans has scored two goals and registered four assists in his last six Premier League appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side, and Maddison tweeted on Saturday with a clear message for Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha and Leicester’s hierarchy.

Tielemans is reported to hold a £40m price tag with his current club Monaco, and a move for the Belgian would break Leicester’s current transfer record of £29m after they signed Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon in 2016.
The Foxes are now on a four-game winning streak under new manager Rodgers’, who has instilled an attacking philosophy from the outset, and after relationships between Leicester’s playing cohort and former manager Claude Puel had severely soured, the new-found form will come as a welcome relief to the East Midlands side.
A move for Tielemans would clearly prove popular with the players as attested to by Maddison’s plea, but whether the club are willing to smash their transfer record remains to be seen – it would certainly provide impetus to the new era under Rodgers as Leicester aim to bridge the gap between the top-six and the chasing pack in the Scotsman’s first full season in charge next year.
